One of the most appreciated raw materials on board luxury yachts is un- doubtedly marble. Italy is currently the world’s largest supplier. The Italian marble comes mainly from Tuscany which is renowned for its marble and here in Forte dei Marmi is where most of the extraction takes place pre- cisely where the plant’s HQ and premises of the Vie Del MarMo company are situated. Experienced craftsmen apply their acquired know how and recent technology to cut the marble in 3D thanks to numerically controlled and computerized machinery.This plant is collaborating with prestigious in- ternational brands like the Pagani owned by Horacio Pagani for which it has built a hyper car in statuary marble,Antolini Luigi & C. SpA public company which has placed a firm order for Dondolo a table centrepiece capable of floating in water and another for Sanlorenzo’s superyacht builder.
